My name is Bailey Wenz and I am majoring in special education and elementary education with a coaching minor. I am from Gillette, WY where I was able to be introduced to a teaching environment from an early as my mother is a school-based speech therapist. After school, my brother and I would always stay later with her and we would also go to school with her in the summer. In high school, I would also volunteer and help her out at the conclusion of my day. This is where I found my love for teaching and wanting to help children with disabilities.
One other passion that I have is for soccer. Soccer has always been a major part of my life (basically my whole life). I have had a ball at my feet for as long as I can remember and as a result have been able to travel the world and all over the United States. I have learned many skills that have helped me through life while playing soccer. I have acquired several skills are from playing, being on a team, and from all the traveling. I played varsity in high school starting my freshman year, played at a junior college (was captain) for 2 years, and played 3 years at the University of Mary. I now am able to coach the sport I love. I have continued to acquire skills while coaching that will help me in the classroom and excel as a teacher. All because of my love for soccer.
